Groundwork

Privacy policy

Last updated October 2, 2026

Groundwork is a property prospecting and underwriting tool for New York City real estate, run by Keino Chichester. This page explains what the app stores about you and why.

What we collect

Property data

Property records shown in the app come from public New York City and federal sources, including PLUTO, ACRIS, HPD, DOB, DHCR, HUD and FRED. They describe properties, not you.

Client and property data agents add

If you work as an agent, you can add information about the buyers, sellers and tenants you represent: names, phone numbers, email addresses, notes and property details. That data belongs to your workspace. It is visible to the people in your workspace, not to other Groundwork users, and every view of an uploaded intake photo is logged.

Paper intake forms you photograph are encrypted before they are stored, with location and camera metadata stripped from the image first, and they are deleted automatically after the retention window your workspace sets. Before any phone number is used for outreach it is checked against do-not-call and litigator lists. The workspace owner can export all client data as a spreadsheet or delete a client entirely from the client list at any time.

What we do not do

Where data lives

The app runs on Vercel and stores data in a Neon Postgres database in the United States. Passwords are stored hashed. Access to the database is limited to the operator.

Your choices

You can update your buyer profile at any time from Settings. To delete your account and everything tied to it, email keino.chichester@gmail.com and it will be removed within 30 days.
